OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College women's lacrosse team lost 15-4 to Concordia University-Chicago (Ill.) in its home-opener this afternoon at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet.

Records: Cornell 2-1 overall, Olivet 0-3 overall
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After the teams traded the first four goals of the game, the Cougars netted six straight goals to go up 8-2.
- The Comets scored with 44 seconds left in the opening half to trail 8-3 at halftime.
- Concordia opened the second half on another 6-0 run to take a 14-3 lead.
- Olivet netted its fourth goal of the game with 2:35 left.
- The Cougars capped the scoring with a minute remaining.
FOR THE COMETS
- Junior Krystin Verran led Olivet with four points on two goals and two assists, as well as three draw controls and four ground balls.
- Junior Stephanie Robinson also scored two goals.
- Junior Keri Hettinger played the entire game in between the pipes and finished with seven saves.
FOR THE COUGARS
- Anna Keller paced Concordia with seven goals and 12 shots.
- Margaret Doane and Sydney Fuller each scored three goals.
- Sonja Sorensen collected two goals.
- Fuller led all players with eight draw controls.

- Olivet is now off until Thursday, March 23, when it travels to Alliance, Ohio to play University of Mount Union at 5 p.m.
