Women’s lacrosse team loses 19-2 to Calvin in season-finale
The Olivet College women’s lacrosse team fell to Calvin College, 19-2, in its season-finale and on Senior Day this afternoon at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet.

OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College women's lacrosse team fell to Calvin College, 19-2, in its season-finale and on Senior Day this afternoon at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet.
The Knights raced out to an 8-0 lead. The Comets scored their first goal with 5:39 left before halftime on an unassisted tally by senior Cecilia Bayne. Forty seconds later, freshman Hannah Cook scored a free-position goal to make the score 8-2, at the 4:59 mark. Calvin scored the final four goals of the half to take a 12-2 lead at the break. The Knights found the back of the cage seven times in the second half.
Olivet finished the contest with six shots, including two each for Bayne and Cook. Bayne and senior Jessica Doster had three draw controls apiece. Junior Xavier Vance collected 15 saves in 60 minutes of action between the pipes.
Before the game, the Comets recognized their four seniors – Bayne, Doster, Devin Blue and Holleigh Kennedy – who were playing in their final collegiate lacrosse game.
