KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Olivet College women's lacrosse team was stung by Kalamazoo College, 15-1, this afternoon at Mackenzie Field in Kalamazoo.
The Hornets led 8-0 at halftime and extended their lead to 13-0 with 22:14 remaining in the game. The Comets got on the scoreboard at the 19:09 mark of the second half when sophomore Mary Dalrymple netted a free-position goal. Kalamazoo scored the final two goals of the game.
Olivet recorded seven shots in the game, with senior Cecilia Bayne posting a team-best four. She also scooped-up a team-leading four ground balls. Dalrymple had two shots. Junior Xavier Vance registered 10 saves.
The Comets host Adrian College next Wednesday, April 20. The opening draw at the Cutler Athletic Complex is set for 6 p.m.
