ALBION, Mich. – The Olivet College women's lacrosse team fell to Albion College, 22-9, this afternoon at Sprankle-Sprandel Stadium in Albion.
The Britons scored the first four goals of the game and never looked back. Junior Mackenzie Inman (Union City) netted two straight goals to trim the Comets' deficit in half, but they would not get any closer for the rest of the game.
Inman finished the game with five goals on nine shots. Juniors Taylor Guarnaccia (East Lansing/Haslett) and Geri Merrell (Battle Creek/Lakeview) each scored two goals. Olivet had 20 total shots to 44 for Albion. Freshman keeper Xavier Vance (West Bloomfield) made 14 saves.
The Comets host Saint Mary's (Ind.) College next Wednesday night at 6 p.m.
