MARSHALL, Mich. – The Olivet College women's golf team stands in second-place after the first day of the Kyle Campbell Invitational, hosted by the Comets at The Medalist Golf Club in Marshall.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Olivet ended the first round with a 342 team score.
- DePauw (Ind.) University leads the 12-team field with a 314. Hope College and North Central (Ill.) College share third-place with 344s. Wheaton (Ill.) College is fifth at 348, followed by Cleary University, 354; Carthage (Wis.) College, 355; Trine (Ind.) University, 356; Calvin College, 367; Alma College, 373; Albion College, 380; and Adrian College, 395.
- Larisa Lulof from DePauw tops the player standings with a 75.
FOR THE COMETS
- Sophomore Ashley Folleth shot a 78 to sit in a tie for third-place in the player standings. Her round included a tourney-best three birdies. Folleth is also first in Par 3 scoring at -1.
- Junior Hayley Cooper was next with an 86.
- Sophomore Nicole Deweyert and freshman Crystal Lettinga both carded an 89.
- Sophomore Taylor Elley completed her round in 94 strokes.
