ALMA, Mich. – Senior Laura Bacso tied for medalist honors to help the Olivet College women's golf team place third at the fourth Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Jamboree #3, held today at the Pine River Country Club in Alma.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Comets carded a season-best 322 team score.
- Saint Mary's (Ind.) College and Hope College tied for first-place with 321s. Trine (Ind.) University was fourth at 330, followed by Adrian College, 345; Alma College, 357; Calvin College, 360; and Albion College, 364.
FOR THE COMETS
- Bacso tied her career-best with a 76 to tie Hope's Megan Klintworth and Trine's Julia DeBelly for medalist honors.
- Sophomore Hayley Cooper and freshmen Nicole Deweyert and Molly Morey all shot an 82.
- Freshman Ashley Folleth finished her round in 85 strokes.

- The Comets will next compete at the 36-hole season-finale tournament Friday and Saturday, Oct. 7-8, at the Bedford Valley Country Club in Battle Creek.
