OLIVET, Mich. – The University of Olivet women's basketball team fell to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) leader Hope College, 84-46, today at the Cutler Event Center. Hope is ranked No. 7 in this week's D3hoops.com Top 25 poll.
- Final Score: Hope 84, Olivet 46
- Location: Cutler Event Center; Olivet, Michigan
- Records: Olivet 6-11 overall, 3-5 MIAA; Hope 16-1 overall, 8-0 MIAA
- The Flying Dutch led 28-13 at the end of the first quarter, 45-24 at halftime and 69-36 at the finish of the third quarter. Hope outscored Olivet in each of the four quarters.
- Sophomore Kinsley Hatfield scored a team-leading nine points.
- Junior Clara Shoales netted eight points.
- Freshmen Kaylee Bush and Christina Malackanich each had six points.
- Malackanic grabbed a team-leading six rebounds.
- The Comets go on the road next Wednesday, January 24, to play Alma College. Tip-off from Art Smith Arena is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
