HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the first quarter, the Scots took the largest lead for either team, 9-6, after Tara Padgett made a three-pointer at the 1:39 mark.
- Olivet closed the gap to a single point, 9-8, when freshman Jazmin Hildebrand drained a pair of free throws.
- Ashtyn Maniez split two tosses from the charity stripe to make the score 10-8 at the end of the opening quarter.
- In the second quarter, the Scots led by seven points on three occasions, with the last time being 26-19.
- The Comets scored the last basket of the quarter to make the score 26-21 at halftime.
- Olivet would not get any closer for the remainder of the game.
FOR THE COMETS
- Senior Jillian Nickels was the lone Olivet player in double figures as she scored 10.
- Junior Ayren Parrish and senior Kali Hancock each scored nine.
- Hildebrand grabbed a team-leading seven rebounds.
FOR THE SCOTS
- Tara Padgett came off the bench to score a game-high 18 points.
- Kelsey Wolfiss and Kaitlyn Kendall contributed 15 and 12 points, respectively.
- Kendall also pulled down a game-best 10 rebounds.
