ADRIAN, Mich. – Freshman Jazmin Hildebrand posted her first collegiate double-double, but the Olivet College women's basketball team came up short against Adrian College, 81-58, in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) contest today at the Merillat Center in Adrian.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Comets scored the first basket of the game but that lead was quickly evaporated as the Bulldogs went on a 7-0 run over the next two minutes and 53 seconds.
- Adrian expanded its lead to six points, 11-5, at the 4:52 mark.
- Olivet went on a 4-0 scoring spurt to cut its deficit down to two points, 11-9, with 2:47 left in the first quarter.
- The Bulldogs pushed their lead back to six points, 18-12, at the end of the opening stanza.
- Nine seconds into the second quarter, senior Jillian Nickels drained a three-pointer to trim the Adrian lead in half, 18-15.
- The Comets would get no closer for the rest of the second period, as the Bulldogs saw their lead grow to as many as 16 points, 37-21, at the 1:48 mark.
- Olivet scored the final four points of the quarter to trail by 12 points, 37-25, at the halftime break.
- The Comets opened the third quarter by scoring six consecutive points to make the score 37-31.
- The teams traded three-pointers for another six-point differential, 40-34.
- The Bulldogs came back with an 11-4 run to gain their largest lead of the game, 51-38, with 1:04 remaining in the third period.
- Senior Kali Hancock nailed a three-pointer to make the score 51-41 before two Adrian free throws created 53-41 score after three quarters.
- Adrian took control of the game by putting the first 11 points on the scoreboard in the fourth quarter and eventually built its lead to as many as 27 points.
FOR THE COMETS
- Hildebrand scored a season-high 16 points and grabbed a season-best 14 rebounds for the double-double.
- Hancock entered today's game with 18 total points in six games played this season. Today, she scored a game-high 18 points, with five three-pointers.
FOR THE BULLDOGS
- Mariah Jackson came off the bench to tally a team-leading 17 points.
- Sadia Johnson provided 14 points.
- Starnisha Harris contributed 12 points from the bench.
- Ashley Morris pulled down a team-best eight rebounds.
