The Olivet College women’s basketball team fell to Transylvania (Ky.) University, 77-34 in the consolation game of the 2016 Damon’s/Hampton Inn Tip-Off Tournament, hosted by Wilmington College and inside Fred Raizk Arena in Wilmington, Ohio.

WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Olivet College women's basketball team fell to Transylvania (Ky.) University, 77-34 in the consolation game of the 2016 Damon's/Hampton Inn Tip-Off Tournament, hosted by Wilmington College and inside Fred Raizk Arena in Wilmington, Ohio.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Pioneers led by seven points, 9-2, at the 5:55 mark of the opening quarter.
- Olivet came back to take a 15-14 lead with 17 seconds left in the first quarter.
- A Transylvania free throw knotted the score at 15-15 after one quarter.
- The Pioneers scored the first 11 points and overall outscored the Comets 19-5 in the second quarter to take a 34-20 halftime lead.
- The 43-point margin of victory was the largest lead for Transylvania in the second half.
FOR THE COMETS
- Junior Ayren Parrish led Olivet with 10 points.
- Freshman Jazmin Hildebrand scored seven points and grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds. For her efforts, she was named to the All-Tournament team.
FOR THE PIONEERS
- Ashton Woodard came off the bench to lead all scorers with 18 points.
- Sarah Ashley and Celina Kline finished with 13 and 10 points, respectively.
- Jenna Carothers pulled down a team-best seven rebounds.

- Olivet returns to the court next Saturday, Nov. 26, for its home-opener against Lourdes (Ohio) University. Game time at The Cutler Event Center is 3 p.m.
