Clay target team wins “High Over All Trophy” at SCTP National Tournament
The Olivet College clay target team attended the 2019 Scholastic Clay Target Program Collegiate National Tournament, held at the Cardinal Shooting Center in Marengo, Ohio. After three days of competition, the Olivet team finished in fifth-place for the "High Over All" trophy.
MARENGO, Ohio -- The Olivet College clay target team attended the 2019 Scholastic Clay Target Program Collegiate National Tournament, held at the Cardinal Shooting Center in Marengo, Ohio. In the Division III competition, 18 colleges were represented.
After three days of competition, the Olivet team of Amber Pashley, Andrew Pashley, Daniel Boehme, Brandon Burks, Grace Culp and Justin Lamb finished in fifth-place for the "High Over All" trophy. High over all is calculated based on total scores of the top five athletes in the American disciplines of Skeet, Trap and Sporting Clays.
Head Coach Matthew Gay said, "This team is only a month-and-half old. I am extremely proud of their performance on the national stage at such a prestigious tournament. We look forward to building for the future and bringing new top quality student-athletes to the Olivet campus."
