Bio

Michaela Hamilton is in her third season as the head softball coach at The University of Olivet in 2024.

Prior to joining Olivet's staff, Hamilton served as an assistant coach at West Virginia Wesleyan College for four seasons. While there, she primarily worked with the pitchers by creating, maintaining, and instructing bullpens and workouts. Hamilton’s other duties included assisting in the recruiting process of prospective student-athletes, recording, and organizing scouting charts and maintaining daily organization of the office and the softball facility.

Prior to joining the West Virginia Wesleyan staff, Hamilton served as the interim assistant coach at Spring Hill (Ala.) College during the 2018 season. She served as the pitching coach for the Badgers.

Hamilton earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Troy (Ala.) University in 2014. She played two seasons of softball for the Trojans. Hamilton made 26 appearances in the pitching circle and posted a 7-7 record. She served as a manager for the Troy softball program from August 2013 to December 2014.

Prior to Troy, Hamilton earned an associate’s degree from Gulf Coast (Fla.) State College. She played one of year of softball for the Commodores and split time at pitcher and first base.
