Softball team sweeps doubleheader at Calvin in season-finale

The Olivet College softball team swept a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) doubleheader from Calvin College in its season-finale at the Calvin Field in Grand Rapids. The Comets posted a 6-3 win in the first game, which was completed today after being suspended because of rain last Saturday. Olivet took the nightcap, 8-0, which ended after six innings because of the eight-run mercy rule.

Softball team sweeps Senior Day doubleheader from Rochester, 8-0 and 3-2

The Olivet College softball team swept a non-conference doubleheader from Rochester College this afternoon in Olivet. The Comets won the first game, 8-0, in six innings and took the nightcap, 3-2.

Softball team sweeps non-conference doubleheader from Finlandia, 6-2 and 11-5

The Olivet College softball team celebrated “Strikeout Cancer” Day by sweeping a non-conference doubleheader from Finlandia University this afternoon at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet. The Comets scored three runs in the first inning of game one and hung on for a 6-3 victory. A six-run fifth inning propelled Olivet to an 11-5 win in the second game.

The Olivet College softball team lost both games of a doubleheader to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) leader Trine (Ind.) University today at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet. The Thunder won by scores of 7-4 and 8-5.

Softball team sweeps doubleheader at MIAA-rival Albion, 12-4 and 5-3

The Olivet College softball team swept a doubleheader from Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Albion College this afternoon at Dempsey Field in Albion. In the opener, the Comets belted a season-high 19 hits en route to a 12-4 six-inning mercy rule victory. In the nightcap, Olivet jumped out to a 5-0 lead and hung for a 5-3 win.

The Olivet College softball team was swept by Alma College in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) doubleheader today at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet. The Scots came from behind to win the opener, 11-5, and won the nightcap, 5-1.

The Olivet College softball team swept a non-conference doubleheader today at Concordia University. The Comets, who improve to 15-3 with the sweep, won the first game, 7-2, and rallied to win the nightcap, 2-1.

Softball team splits doubleheader with Hope in MIAA-opener

The Olivet College softball team split a doubleheader with Hope College today in its Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association opener at the Cutler Athletic Complex. The Comets shutout the Flying Dutch, 3-0, in the first game, and Hope returned the favor in the nightcap, shutting out the Comets, 1-0, in eight innings.
