Olivet College senior pitcher Erica Anderson (Casnovia/Kent City) and junior catcher Nick McIntosh (Petoskey) have been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District IV second-team for softball and baseball as selected by College Sports Information Directors of America.

Three Olivet College players earn 2006 All-MIAA softball honors

Three Olivet College student-athletes have been named to the 2006 All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) softball teams. Senior pitcher Erica Anderson (Casnovia/Kent City) earned first-team honors, while freshmen Danielle Martin (Lansing/Lansing Catholic) and Alisha Ridsdale (Laingsburg) are second-team selections.

Softball team ends season with two losses at 2006 MIAA Tournament

The Olivet College softball team ended its season with a pair of losses today at the 2006 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Tournament. Hope College hosted the tournament at Buys Field in Holland. In their first game, the Comets let a 4-2 lead slip away as they fell to Hope, 5-4. Olivet bowed out of the tournament with a 9-1 loss to Alma College.

Softball team sweeps doubleheader from MIAA rival Albion College, 7-5 and 11-6

The Olivet College softball team rallied from five runs down in the first game and three runs down in the second game to sweep a doubleheader from Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Albion College this afternoon in Olivet. The Comets (24-10, 10-6 MIAA) won by scores of 7-5 and 11-6.

The Olivet College softball team kept its hopes of qualifying for the 2006 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) tournament alive by posting a pair of shutout victories, 11-0 and 12-0, today at Kalamazoo College.

The Olivet College softball team remained in contention for one of four spots in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) tournament by sweeping a doubleheader from Saint Mary’s (Ind.) College today in Olivet. The Comets (20-10, 6-6 MIAA) scored a run in the seventh inning to win game one, 2-1, and won the nightcap, 6-4. Senior Erica Anderson

The Olivet College softball team was swept by Hope College today in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) doubleheader at Buys Field in Holland. The Flying Dutch (19-9, 10-1 MIAA) won by scores of 5-0 and 12-1.

The Olivet College softball team swept a doubleheader from Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) foe Tri-State (Ind.) University this afternoon in Angola. The Comets (18-8, 4-4 MIAA) won by scores of 3-2 and 9-5.

The Olivet College softball team split a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) doubleheader with Adrian College today in Olivet. The Comets (16-8, 2-4 MIAA) won the first game, 9-0, in five innings, and lost the nightcap, 5-3.

The Olivet College softball team split a doubleheader with Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) foe Calvin College this afternoon in Olivet. In the first game, the Comets (14-6, 0-2 MIAA) hit two home runs en route to a 5-0 victory. In the nightcap, the Knights (6-8, 1-1 MIAA) scored an unearned run in the seventh inning to win, 3-2.

The Olivet College softball team was swept by Alma College today in its Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) opener at Scots Park in Alma. The Comets (12-6, 0-2 MIAA) were shutout in the first game, 4-0, and lost the nightcap, 6-2.

Softball team sweeps doubleheader with Ohio Wesleyan, 6-3 and 2-0

Behind two solid pitching performances and outstanding defense, the Olivet College softball team swept a doubleheader with visiting Ohio Wesleyan University (OWU) today in Olivet. Senior Erica Anderson (Casnovia/Kent City) pitched a complete game as the Comets won game, 6-3. Sophomore Kim Green (Portland) also tossed a complete game and shutout OWU, 2-0.

The Olivet College softball team lost both games of a doubleheader today at NCAA Division II foe Grand Valley State University (GVSU) in Allendale. The Comets (10-2) were shutout in game one, 5-0, and lost game two, 6-2.
