Men’s Cross Country: Davis breaks school record, earns All-MIAA First Team honors

HOLLAND, Mich. – Led by senior Chris Davis' school-record performance, The University of Olivet men's cross country team finished seventh at the 2023 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Championship. Hope College served as the host school, and the 8K race took place at the Three Fires Golf Club.

- UO Team: 7th of 8 (187 points)
- Top UO Individual: Chris Davis, 8th of 153
- Calvin University had four of the top seven runners to win the MIAA championship with 17 points.
- Olivet totaled 187 points to finish ahead of Albion College by six points.
- Davis covered the 8K course in a time of 24:52.6 to break the school record. He previously held the record at 25:19.5, and ironically, that time was also achieved at Three First Golf Club during the 2022 NCAA regional meet. With his performance, Davis earns All-MIAA First Team honors. He is the first men's runner in school history to be a first team selection.
- Senior Hunter Hillard completed today's race in a personal-best time of 26:45.9 to finish 56th.
- Senior Hayden Germain was next at 27:50.9.
- Junior Noah Feudi had a lifetime best mark of 27:52.3.
- Sophomore Anthony DeVito posted a personal-best time of 28:44.7.
- Olivet runs at the 2023 NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional Saturday, Nov. 11. The race is at the Silver Creek Metro Park in Norton, Ohio.
