Cross country teams run at LCC Invitational
The Olivet College men’s and women’s cross country teams ran this morning at the Lansing Community College Invitational, held at Grand Woods Park in Lansing. The Comet men placed eighth, while the women were ninth. The field included 10 junior colleges, four NAIA schools and three NCAA Division III schools.

LANSING, Mich. – The Olivet College men's and women's cross country teams ran this morning at the Lansing Community College Invitational, held at Grand Woods Park in Lansing. The Comet men placed eighth, while the women were ninth. The field included 10 junior colleges, four NAIA schools and three NCAA Division III schools.
THE BASICS
Location: Grand Woods Park; Lansing, Mich.
FOR THE COMET MEN (8K RUN)
- Junior Bruce Baker placed sixth in a field of 174 total men's runners, with a time of 26:21.9. Four of the runners ahead of him were unattached athletes.
- Senior Connor Bauserman was 11th and crossed the line in a season-best time of 26:51.8.
FOR THE COMET WOMEN (5K RUN)
- Senior Allyson Schultz had the fastest time for the women's team at 20:28.2 to finish 31st of 162 runners.
- Junior Nicole Zerfas finished the race in 21:39.2.

- Olivet makes the trip next Saturday, Oct. 15, to compete at the Inter-Regional Rumble, hosted by Oberlin College.
