Cross country runners run to personal-best times at Inter-Regional Rumble
All except two runners set personal-best times today, as the Olivet College men’s and women’s cross country teams ran today at the 2015 Inter-Regional Rumble, hosted by Oberlin (Ohio) College. The men had 620 points to place 23rd of 32 teams. The women totaled 695 points to finish 25th of 29 teams.
OBERLIN, Ohio – All except two runners set personal-best times today, as the Olivet College men's and women's cross country teams ran today at the 2015 Inter-Regional Rumble, hosted by Oberlin (Ohio) College. The men had 620 points to place 23rd of 32 teams. The women totaled 695 points to finish 25th of 29 teams.
For the men, sophomore Bruce Baker completed the 8K race in 25:46.2, which placed him 96th of 274 runners. Senior Nicholas Roberge-Ferris crossed the line next at 25:59.9 to finish in 116th-place. Junior Connor Bauserman was next at 26:33.2, followed by sophomore Mark Smith at 26:37.7.
Junior Allyson Schultz covered the 6K course in 23:03.2 to place 82nd out of 244 women's runners. Freshman Nicole Sebok finished in 24:10.7, followed by freshman Zoe Feighner, 25:21.8; sophomore Kaitlin Stults, 25:55.7; and senior Danielle Marsh, 26:01.2.
The Comets are off until Saturday, Oct. 31, when they host the 2015 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Championships. The races will take place at the Broadway Acres Golf Course in Charlotte.
