Three men’s volleyball student-athletes earn MCVL All-Academic honors
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Three Olivet College men’s volleyball players – Thayne Bilicki, Kai Hartman and Ethan Valente – have been named to the 2021-22 Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League (MCVL) All-Academic Team.
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Three Olivet College men's volleyball players – Thayne Bilicki, Kai Hartman and Ethan Valente – have been named to the 2021-22 Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League (MCVL) All-Academic Team.
The criteria for selection are a 3.30 or higher GPA during the most recently completed academic year and the earning a varsity letter.
Bilicki completed his freshman season of volleyball for the Comets in 2022. He is a double major in chemistry and mathematics. Bilicki played and started in all 19 matches for Olivet, recording 41 kills along with a team-best 40 total blocks (11 solo and 29 assisted).
Hartman finished his sophomore season of volleyball for Olivet. He is majoring in sports psychology. Starting all 19 matches, Hartman was second on the team with 166 kills and 14 service aces, and third with 115 digs.
Valente ended his freshman season for the Comets. He is also a sports psychology major. A starter in each of the 19 matches, Valente finished the season with 102 kills, 13 aces, 72 digs and 18 blocks.
