Men’s volleyball team swept in home match by North Central
The Olivet College men’s volleyball team was swept in three sets by North Central (Ill.) College tonight at The Cutler Event Center in Olivet.

OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College men's volleyball team was swept in three sets by North Central (Ill.) College tonight at The Cutler Event Center in Olivet.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cardinals scored the first three points of the opening set, and never relinquished the lead.
- Like the first set, North Central jumped out to a 3-0 lead to start the second set. The Comets battled back and evened the score twice, with the last time being 7-7. The Cardinals used two kills and a service ace to go back up by three points, 10-7. Olivet scored the next point but it would not get any closer for the remainder of the set.
- The Comets put the first point on the scoreboard in the third set. North Central had a mini 2-0 run to go up 2-1. The Comets came back to force four tied scores at 4-4, 6-6, 7-7 and 8-8. Olivet kept the set close and were never down more than four points until the score became 21-16.
FOR THE COMETS
- Olivet finished the match with 25 kills.
- Senior Luke DeWitt led the way with 11 kills and a .500 attack percentage.
- Freshman Trent Robinson recorded six kills.
- Freshman Mathew Caamal dished out 18 set assists.
- Caamal and DeWitt both had five digs.
FOR THE CARDINALS
- North Central had 43 kills and hit at a .447 clip.
- Jason Eslinger topped the team with 13 kills, while hitting .391.
- Brendan Crawford and Bozhidar Kolev each registered eight kills.
- Raymond Kraus recorded a match-best 31 set assists.
- Kolev finished with a team-best eight digs.

- Olivet and North Central will return to The Cutler Event Center for another match tomorrow afternoon at 4 p.m.
