Olivet College men’s volleyball players named to MCVL All-Academic Team
A trio of Olivet College men’s volleyball players, Luke DeWitt, Rhett Pringle and Talen Schallhorn, have been named to the 2016 Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League (MCVL) All-Academic Team.
NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- A trio of Olivet College men's volleyball players, Luke DeWitt, Rhett Pringle and Talen Schallhorn, have been named to the 2015-16 Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League (MCVL) All-Academic Team.
To be named to the MCVL All-Academic Team, the student-athlete must have a 3.30 or higher grade point average (GPA) for the academic year and must have earned a varsity letter.
DeWitt is majoring in business administration and has a 3.53 cumulative GPA. During the 2016 season, he played in every set of every match, leading the Comets with 167 kills, 15 service aces and 51 total blocks. An actuarial science major with a 3.38 GPA, Pringle was second with 106 kills. An exercise science major with a 3.92 GPA, Schallhorn topped the team with 291 set assists. The 2016 season was the inaugural year of men's volleyball at Olivet.
