Men’s Track and Field: Olivet wins 10 events, places second at Alma Triangular

ALMA, Mich. – The University of Olivet men's outdoor track and field team won nine individual events and one relay to finish second at the Alma College Triangular. The Comets scored 136 points to place behind Albion College (159) and ahead of the host Scots (94).
- Senior Jordon Brown was a double winner, as he claimed first in the long jump (23 feet) and 200-meter dash (21.69). Both performances were season bests.
- Senior Chris Davis clocked-in with the fastest time in the mile run (4:30.26) and 5,000-meter run (15:46.37).
- Sophomore Dontal Wright took first in the 400-meter run with a time of 50.61 seconds.
- Freshman Owen Fremeau won the discus throw (151 feet, 6 inches) and hammer throw (159 feet, 4 inches). The mark in the hammer ranks second all-time in school history.
- Freshman Keegan Nutt earned a first-place finish in the pole vault, clearing the bar at 13 feet, 5-1/4 inches.
- Junior Jackson Arkles was the lone runner in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (11:53.00) for Olivet's ninth individual event win.
- The 4x400-meter relay team of Wright, sophomore Jonathan Holloway, freshman Kyle Redd and Brown finished first (3:26.89).
- Holloway placed second in the 400-meter hurdles (57.33).
- Senior Hunter Hillard was second in the 5,000-meter run (15:53.01).
- Senior David Sinkler had personal-best marks of 129 feet, 3 inches in the discus and 138 feet in the hammer. The mark in the hammer is eighth all-time at Olivet.
- Junior Jake Watkins finished second in the high jump, clearing the bar at a personal-best height of 5 feet, 9-1/4 inches.
- Olivet welcomes Adrian College and Cleary University to the Cutler Athletic Complex next Saturday, April 6, for the Comet Triangular.
