Men’s Indoor Track & Field: Two school records fall at GVSU Big Meet

ALLENDALE, Mich. – Two school records were set, and seven additional personal-best performances were achieved for The University of Olivet men's track and field team at the Grand Valley State University "Big" Meet.
- Senior Jordon Brown broke the school record in the 400-meter dash, clocking-in with the third-fastest time at 47.73 seconds. He was the highest NCAA Division III finisher in the race.
- Senior Chris Davis set the school record in the mile run with a time of 4:14.73. He also ran a personal-best time of 1:56.53 in the 800-meter run.
- Senior Charles Miller had a personal-best time of 7.17 seconds in the 60-meter dash.
- Sophomore Jonathan Holloway completed the 400-meter dash with a personal-best time of 51.93 seconds.
- Senior David Sinkler posted a lifetime-best mark of 47 feet, 4 inches in the weight throw.
- Junior Aaron Garcia recorded personal bests in the shot put (34 feet, 3-1/2 inches) and weight throw (34 feet, 10-1/4 inches).
- Achieving season-best performances were:
- Freshman Austin Cole in the shot put (43 feet, 8 inches)
- Freshman Owen Fremeau in the shot put (45 feet, 6 inches)
- Freshman Wanyai Johnson in the 60-meter dash (7.40)
- Freshman Luke Leighton in the 400-meter dash (51.37)
- Freshman Peter Moore in the long jump (20 feet, 7-1/4 inches)
- Sophomore Keegan Nutt in the pole vault (13 feet, 2-1/4 inches)
- Freshman Kyle Redd in the 60-meter dash (7.42) and 200-meter dash (24.00)
- The Comets head to University Center for the Saginaw Valley State University Tune-up Meet next Friday, February 16.
