Men’s Indoor Track & Field: Two school records fall at Wittenberg STEEMER Showcase

WITTENBERG, Ohio – Two school records were broken, as The University of Olivet men's track and field team continued its indoor schedule today at the Wittenberg University / STEEMER Showcase.
- Senior Jordon Brown was first of 71 runners in the 400-meter dash, as he broke the school record with a time of 47.93 seconds. Brown also finished third of 102 competitors in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.88 seconds.
- With a clearance of 6 feet and 7-3/4 inches, DeVondre Chandler took first in the high jump, breaking the school record he set last week. The mark also moves him into a tie for seventh on the NCAA Division III Performance List.
- Sophomore Jonathan Holloway had a personal-best time of 52.54 seconds in the 400-meter run and 23.84 seconds in the 200-meter run.
- Senior Charles Miller ran the 200-meter run in a personal-best time of 23.27 seconds.
- Freshmen Kyle Redd and Luke Leighton posted season-best times of 24.04 and 24.20 seconds, respectively in the 200-meter run.
- Freshman Ben Gillesby finished the mile with a season-best time of 5:36.64.
- Freshman Deegan Bodell posted a season-best time of 9:48.27 in the 3,000-meter run.
- Senior David Sinkler recorded a personal-best mark of 45 feet, 4 inches in the weight throw.
- Sophomore Charles Goldman achieved a season-best leap of 18 feet, 6 inches in the long jump.
- Olivet participates in the Grand Valley State University "Big" Meet Friday and Saturday, February 9-10.
