Men’s distance medley relay breaks school record at Grand Valley “Big” Meet

ALLENDALE, Mich. – The Olivet College men's indoor track and field team had a few student-athletes compete at the Grand Valley State University "Big" Meet. Highlighting the meet was the distance medley relay breaking the school record.

• Senior Chase Mendham led off the distance medley, followed by senior Jordon Brown, junior Hayden Germain and junior Chris Davis. Their time on the track was 10:01.63, which converts to 10:09.82. The previous record was 10:10.54 by Brown, Germain, Mendham and Kyle McDowell on March 4, 2022.
• Junior Hunter Hillard ran a personal-best time of 15:33.93 in the 5,000-meter run.
• Senior Jordon Brown completed the 400-meter dash in 52.05 seconds.
• Junior Hayden Germain finished the 800-meter run in 1:55.91.
• senior Byron Pearce posted a season-best mark of 50 feet, 6 inches in the weight throw.

• The Comets return action next Friday, February 17, at the Saginaw Valley State University "Tune-up" Meet.
