Two school men’s indoor track & field records broken at Mrs. G Invitational
ANGOLA, Ind. – Two school records for the Olivet College men’s indoor track and field team were broken among other personal- and season-best performances today at the Trine (Ind.) University Mrs. G Invitational. With 78 points, the Comets finished third among 10 schools.

ANGOLA, Ind. – Two school records for the Olivet College men's indoor track and field team were broken among other personal- and season-best performances today at the Trine (Ind.) University Mrs. G Invitational. With 78 points, the Comets finished third among 10 schools.
- Junior Chris Davis broke the school record in the mile run, finishing first with a time of 4:23.35. Junior Hayden Germain was right on his heels with a second place and personal-best time of 4:23.89.
- Senior Jordon Brown set the school record in the 200-meter dash with a winning and personal-best time of 22.41 seconds. He also finished third in both the 60-meter dash (7.07) and long jump (6.45 meters).
- Senior Chase Mendham placed fourth in the 800-meter run with a personal-best time of 2:00.53.
- The 4x400-meter relay team of Germain, freshman Jonathan Holloway, Brown and Mendham clocked-in with the fastest time at 3:30.68.
- In the shot put, senior Byron Pearce was second with a personal-best throw of 14.68 meters. He also had a season-best toss of 15.31 meters in the weight throw.
- Senior John C Downey placed third in the triple jump (11.53 meters).
- Other personal-best performances were:
- Junior Zach Liddle in the weight throw (9.69 meters)
- Junior David Sinkler in the shot put (11.08 meters)
- Posting a season-best performance were:
- Freshman Anthony DeVito in the 800-meter run (2:12.28)
- Sophomore Robert Reynolds in the shot put (12.18 meters)
- Freshman Kobe Hogue in the shot put (10.40 meters)
- To qualify for a season-best mark, the student-athlete must have competed in the event in at least one other meet this season.
- Olivet participates in the Grand Valley State University "Big" Meet next Friday and Saturday, February 10-11.
