Seven individual and two relay wins highlight men’s indoor track and field team at Jack Skoog Open
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The Olivet College men’s track and field team had seven individual event wins and won both relays today at the Central Michigan University / Jack Skoog Open.

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The Olivet College men's track and field team had seven individual event wins and won both relays today at the Central Michigan University / Jack Skoog Open.
- One week after breaking the school record in the 60-meter dash, senior Jordon Brown won the race and lowered the school record by 5/100ths to 7.02 seconds. He also took first in the long jump with a personal-best mark of 22 feet, 6-1/2 inches.
- Junior Chris Davis was first in the mile run (4:35.32).
- Freshman Noah Feudi won the 600-meter run (1:29.90).
- Running on the winning distance medley were Davis, Feudi, senior Hunter Hillard and Chase Mendham. Their time was 10:44.46.
- The 4x400-meter relay team of Brown, junior Hayden Germain, Mendham and freshman Jonathan Holloway clocked-in fastest at 3:28.81.
- Senior John C Downey competed in five events – 60-meter hurdles (8.43), 600-meter dash (1:43.47), shot put (9.98m), high jump (1.60m) and pole vault (2.45m). He had the top mark in the pole vault.
- Senior Byron Pearce had the winning marks in the shot put (49 feet, 3/4 inches) and weight throw (47 feet, 1-3/4 inches). His top throw came on his last attempt in both events, with the mark in the shot put being a personal best and the mark in the weight throw being a season best.
- The Comets are back in action next Saturday, January 28, at the Steemer Showcase, hosted by Wittenberg (Ohio) University.
