Brown’s school-record performances lead men’s indoor track and field team at Trine Invitational
ANGOLA, Ind. – Senior Jordon Brown broke the school record in two events, as the Olivet College men’s track and field team started the indoor portion of its 2023 schedule today at the Sean Brady Invitational, hosted by Trine (Ind.) University.

ANGOLA, Ind. – Senior Jordon Brown broke the school record in two events, as the Olivet College men's track and field team started the indoor portion of its 2023 schedule today at the Sean Brady Invitational, hosted by Trine (Ind.) University.
- Brown achieved the first school record time of 7.07 seconds in the 60-meter dash. He was fifth overall but first among NCAA DIII runners. He then lowered his own school record in the 200-meter dash with a fourth-place time of 22.69 seconds.
- Junior Hayden Germain won the 600-meter run in a personal-best time of 1:23.93.
- Senior Chase Mendham and junior Chris Davis were eighth and ninth in the mile run. Mendham clocked-in with a personal-best time of 4:27.84, while Davis had a time of 4:30.48. Six of the seven runners to finish ahead of them were from Purdue University-Fort Wayne (Ind.) and the seventh was an unattached runner from Three Rivers Racing Club.
- Junior Hunter Hillard finished sixth in the 3,000-meter run with a personal-best time of 9:06.29.
- The 4x400-meter relay team of junior Charles Miller, Mendham, Germain and Brown was third with a time 3:33.63.
- Senior Byron Pearce recorded a personal-best mark of 14.13 meters in the shot put to place 10th.
- Olivet competes next Saturday, January 21, at the Central Michigan University/Jack Skoog Open.
