Brown places ninth in 400-meter dash at NCAA Division III Championships
GENEVA, Ohio – Olivet College junior Jordon Brown placed ninth in the 400-meter dash finals at the 2022 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the SPIRE Institute.
GENEVA, Ohio – Olivet College junior Jordon Brown placed ninth in the 400-meter dash finals at the 2022 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the SPIRE Institute.
Brown completed the race in 48.21 seconds. Eric Gregory from Gallaudet (D.C.) University was the NCAA champion in the event, with a time of 46.19 seconds.
Brown will enter his senior season at Olivet as the two-time reigning Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) champion in the 400-meter dash. He holds the school indoor record in the 200-meter dash at 22.74 seconds, and the outdoor record in the 400-meter dash at 47.42 seconds and long jump at 23 feet, 6 inches. Brown also ran legs of the school record indoor 4x400-meter and distance medley relays.
Brown is a four-time All-MIAA selection (indoors in 2020 and 2021, and outdoors in 2021 and 2022). He will likely also become a four-time All-Great Lakes Region selection when the USTFCCCA announces the 2022 outdoor honors in the upcoming weeks.
