Brown leads men’s track and field team to sixth-place finish at MIAA Field Day
ALBION, Mich. – Aided by junior Jordon Brown, the Olivet College men’s track and field team finished in sixth-place at the 2022 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Field Day, hosted by Albion College and at the Elkin Isaac Track.

ALBION, Mich. – Aided by junior Jordon Brown, the Olivet College men's track and field team finished in sixth-place at the 2022 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Field Day, hosted by Albion College and at the Elkin Isaac Track.
- Brown led a 1-2 Olivet finish in the 400-meter dash, as he ran a personal-best time of 48.12 seconds. Senior Kyle McDowell was right behind him in second, with a time of 48.88 seconds.
- Brown was the runner-up in the 200-meter dash, finishing in 21.93 seconds.
- Germain finished third in the 800-meter run (1:56.41).
- Brown anchored the Comets' 4x400-meter relay team to a third-place finish in a season-best time of 3:19.57. Joining him on the relay were McDowell, and sophomores Hayden Germain and Charles Miller.
- Brown, Miller, junior John C Downey and freshman Kameron Newman was fifth in the 4x100-meter relay in a season-best time of 43.44 seconds.
- Junior Chase Mendham scored seventh-place points in the 1,500-meter run (4:09.04). He also completed the 5,000-meter run in a personal-best time of 11:31.10.
- Sophomore David Sinkler had a personal-best heave of 116 feet, 9 inches in the discus throw.
- Also posting season-best performances were:
- freshman Jackson Arkles in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (11:31.10)
- Downey in the triple jump (38 feet, 9-3/4 inches)
- freshman Aaron Garcia in the javelin (95 feet, 5 inches)
- sophomore Zach Liddle in the javelin (107 feet, 7 inches)
