Men’s track and field team is fourth at Manchester Invitational
NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. – The Olivet College men’s track and field team was fourth at the 2022 Manchester (Ind.) University Invitational. The Comets recorded 81 points to finish two points ahead of fifth-place University of Saint Francis (Ind.).

NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. – The Olivet College men's track and field team was fourth at the 2022 Manchester (Ind.) University Invitational. The Comets recorded 81 points to finish two points ahead of fifth-place University of Saint Francis (Ind.).
- Junior Jordon Brown won the 200-meter dash in 22.73 seconds and long jump with a leap of 21 feet, 1-1/4 inches. He also placed second in the 100-meter dash at 11.23 seconds.
- Senior Kyle McDowell had the fastest time in the 400-meter dash with a season-best time of 50.70 seconds.
- Brown and McDowell teamed with junior John C Downey and sophomore Charles Miller for a second-place finish in the 4x100-meter relay with a time of 43.96 seconds.
- Junior Denver Orlando placed second in the pole vault. For the third straight meet, he cleared the bar at 13 feet, 9-1/4 inches.
- Sophomore Hunter Hillard ran personal-best times in the 1,500-meter run (4:26.74) and 800-meter run (2:07.93).
- Junior Chase Mendham completed the 1,500-meter run in a season-best time at 4:15.44.
- Sophomore Zach Liddle posted a season-best mark of 96 feet, 7 inches in the javelin throw.
- Senior Byron Pearce had a season-best mark in the shot put at 41 feet, 5-3/4 inches.
- Sophomore David Sinkler registered a personal-best in the hammer throw (117 feet, 3 inches) and season-best in the discus (113 feet, 6 inches).
- Olivet participates in the Siena Heights University Don Kleinow Invitational next Thursday, April 14.
