Four school records highlight track & field teams at Jack Skoog Open
Four school records were broken to highlight the Olivet College men’s and women’s track & field teams at the season-opening Jack Skoog Open, hosted by Central Michigan University.

MT. PLEASANT, Mich. – Four school records were broken to highlight the Olivet College men's and women's track & field teams at the season-opening Jack Skoog Open, hosted by Central Michigan University.
- Junior Noah Bailey achieved a school record with a 47 feet, 2-1/4 inch mark in the triple jump. The mark also currently ranks first among Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) student-athletes and second nationally in the NCAA Division III rankings, according to tfrrs.org. He also leaped 21 feet, 2-1/2 inches in the long jump for the second-longest mark in the MIAA.
- Sophomore Zane Paksi cleared the pole vault bar at 13 feet, 11-1/4 inches to break the school record. It is also the second-best MIAA mark this season.
- Sophomore Jacob Smith posted a school-record mark of 47 feet, 3/4 inches in the shot put, which is second in the MIAA.
- Freshman Kyle McDowell's time in the 600-meter run, 1:25.21, ranks first among MIAA competitors this winter.
- Freshman Lillian Albaugh set a school record in the shot put with a throw of 41 feet, 7-3/4 inches. The mark is No. 1 among MIAA student-athletes and No. 12 in the NCAA DIII rankings.
- Senior Michaela Kaliniak had the MIAA's top mark this winter in the pole vault, clearing the bar at 10 feet, 6 inches.
- Sophomore Ariel Floyd notched a 46 feet, 8-3/4 inch toss in the weight throw for the top performance in the MIAA this winter.
- Freshman Laura Tuttle crossed the finish line in the 600-meter run at 1:55.32 for the MIAA's second-best mark.
- Olivet travels to University Center next Friday, Jan. 18, for the Saginaw Valley State University Invitational.
