Olivet College’s Prudden named MIAA Field Athlete of the Week
Olivet College freshman Bryce Prudden (Charlotte) has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Field Athlete of the Week.
OLIVET, Mich. – Olivet College freshman Bryce Prudden (Charlotte) has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Field Athlete of the Week. He is being honored for the first time in his career.
Prudden cleared 6 feet, 4-3/4 inches in the high jump to finish in second-place at the Ernie Mousseau Track & Field Classic in Grand Rapids. The performance was the top outdoor mark in the MIAA in 2014, as well as less than four inches off the Olivet school-record mark of 6 feet, 8 inches by John Allen in 1976.
Prudden and the Comets return to action Thursday and Friday, May 1-2, at the 2014 MIAA Field Day. Alma College is the host school. Field events get started at 1 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. on Friday, while running events start at 4:50 p.m. on Thursday and 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
