Olivet College’s Weaver fails to make finals in 800 run at NCAA Championships
Olivet College junior Jalen Weaver (Albion) failed to make the finals in the 800-meter run at the 2014 NCAA Division Indoor Track & Field Championships inside the Devaney Center in Lincoln, Neb. He ran a time of 1:55.34 in the preliminaries to finish in 14th-place out of 15 runners.

LINCOLN, Neb. – Olivet College junior Jalen Weaver (Albion) failed to make the finals in the 800-meter run at the 2014 NCAA Division Indoor Track & Field Championships inside the Devaney Center in Lincoln, Neb. He ran a time of 1:55.34 in the preliminaries to finish in 14th-place out of 15 runners.
Weaver, who was the first-ever Olivet student-athlete to compete at the NCAA DIII Indoor National Championships, qualified for the championships by virtue of a time of school-record time 1:51.90 at a last chance meet March 8 in Stevens Point, Wis.
Weaver and the rest of his Comet teammates will begin the outdoor portion of their schedule March 29 at the Defiance (Ohio) College Dick Small Invitational.
