Men’s tennis team opens spring schedule with 8-1 loss to Greenville
ALBION, Mich. – The Olivet College men’s tennis team resumed its 2019-20 schedule with an 8-1 loss to Greenville (Ill.) University in its first spring match this afternoon inside the Ungrodt Tennis Center in Albion.

ALBION, Mich. – The Olivet College men's tennis team resumed its 2019-20 schedule with an 8-1 loss to Greenville (Ill.) University in its first spring match this afternoon inside the Ungrodt Tennis Center in Albion.

Records: Olivet 1-4 overall, Greenville 1-0 overall
- Since the Comets had only five players, the Panthers won by default at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles. Greenville won the four of the five contested singles matches and won the two contested doubles flights.
- Picking-up Olivet's team point was sophomore Benjamin Morrow at the No. 1 singles position. He won the first set 6-3, lost the second set 6-2 and bounced back to win the match tiebreaker, 10-2.
- Junior Donald Doyle lost a close three-set match. He won the first set 6-4, fell 6-4 in the second set and lost the match tiebreaker, 10-3.
- Olivet is on the road next Saturday, Feb. 22, to play Indiana University-South Bend. First serve from the South Bend Racquet Club is 4 p.m.
