DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Olivet College men's tennis team began the spring portion of its 2015-16 schedule with a 9-0 loss to Defiance (Ohio) College today at the George M. Smart Center in Defiance, Ohio.
The closest match for the Comets came at the No. 1 singles flight. Freshman Max Grabel lost the first set, 6-4, and then his opponent won the tiebreaker to win the second set, 7-6. Sophomore Talen Schallhorn won four games in a 6-3, 6-1 loss at No. 4 singles.
Olivet will be now off until Saturday, March 19, when it hosts Lawrence Tech. First serve at the Minges Creek Athletic Club in Battle Creek is set for 1 p.m.
