The Olivet College men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams fell to Calvin College in season-opening dual meets today at the Upton Center Pool in Olivet.

OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College men's and women's swimming & diving teams fell to Calvin College in season-opening dual meets today at the Upton Center Pool in Olivet.
THE RESULTS
- Men – Calvin def. Olivet 160-97
- Women – Calvin def. Olivet 184-58
FOR THE MEN
- Freshman Justin Maidlow took first-place in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:02.47) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:19.75), and was second in the 400-yard individual medley (4:42.92).
- Freshman Zach Meharg placed first in the 400-yard individual medley (4:42.70), and second in the 1,000-yard freestyle (11:06.02) and 200-yard butterfly (2:20.74).
- Freshman Eric Wood touched the wall second in the 500-yard freestyle (5:21.58) and third in the 200-yard freestyle (1:54.17).
- Freshman Lucas Bunn was third in the 50-yard freestyle (:23.39).
- Sophomore Bryan Plesner finished third in the 1,000-yard freestyle (11:24.88).
- Senior Bryce Prudden scored second-place points on the one-meter diving board (209.65).
- Freshman Dalton Miner had the second-most points on the three-meter diving board (194.80).
FOR THE WOMEN
- Freshman Amelia Tomalka had the Comets' top finish, as she placed third in the 200-yard butterfly (3:01.13).
- Freshman Katie Hansel was fourth in the 50-yard freestyle (:27.49).
UP NEXT
- Olivet will travel to Hillsdale College next Saturday for a double dual against the Chargers (women only) and Notre Dame College of Ohio. The meet from inside the Jack McAvoy Natatorium gets started at 1 p.m.
