Men’s soccer team falls to DePauw, 2-1
The Olivet College men’s soccer team lost 2-1 to DePauw (Ind.) University today at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet. The Comets have now lost three games this season by one goal.

OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College men's soccer team lost 2-1 to DePauw (Ind.) University today at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet. The Comets have now lost three games this season by one goal.
The Tigers took a 1-0 lead at halftime behind a goal by E.J. Moore with 3:29 remaining before the break. Olivet leveled the score at 1-1 in the 62nd minute. Sophomore Evan Shambaugh blasted in a free kick from around 50 yards out into the goal.
The score remained 1-1 until the final minutes of the game. With 3:02 left, a DePauw player was fouled in the box, resulting a penalty kick. Adrian Ables sent a low shot to the near post and past the keeper.
The Tigers had 23 shots compared to nine for Olivet, and out-cornered the Comets by a 13-3 margin. Freshman Alistair Law recorded a team-leading three shots. Three others each had two shots. Senior Ryan Grashik collected 12 saves in goal.
Olivet wraps-up its non-conference schedule Sunday afternoon with a 1 p.m. CST game at Augustana (Ill.) College.
