KENOSHA, Wis. – The Olivet College men's soccer team dropped a 3-1 decision to Carthage (Wis.) College tonight at Art Keller Field in Kenosha, Wis.
The Big Red scored two goals in the final six and one-half minutes of the first half to take a 2-0 halftime lead. Carthage increased its lead to 3-0 with a header goal at the 58:49 mark. Freshman Roman Tafelski scored the Comets' goal with 9:57 left in the game. Sophomore Vince Geremia and junior Gregory Petty were each given an assist on the goal.
For the game, Olivet was limited to seven total shots, one each for seven different players. In a complete game performance, senior Ryan Grashik faced 16 shots in net and made seven saves.
The Comets host DePauw (Ind.) University Friday afternoon at 4 p.m.
