Wiseman leads Plainwell to MHSAA Girls’ Soccer title
Olivet College head men’s soccer coach Chad Wiseman led his high school girls’ soccer team, Plainwell High School, to the 2011 MHSAA Division II championship last Saturday, June 18.
Olivet College head men's soccer coach Chad Wiseman led his high school girls' soccer team, Plainwell High School, to the 2011 Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) Division II championship last Saturday, June 18. The Trojans defeated Livonia Ladywood High School, 2-1, in the championship game. For the season, Plainwell posted a 23-0-1 record.
Wiseman will begin his third season as the Comets' head coach in 2011. In his first two seasons, he has guided Olivet to back-to-back winning seasons (13-6-1 in 2009 and 12-7-1 in 2010) for only the second time in school history. The 12 wins are the most in school history for a single-season, while the .625 winning percentages are also best in school history.
Wiseman has been the head coach at Plainwell since 2004. He has led the Trojans to seven Wolverine Conference (WC) championships and five MHSAA District championships. Wiseman has been the named the WC Coach of the Year six times.
