Men’s lacrosse team wraps-up season with 13-3 loss at Calvin
The Olivet College men’s lacrosse team wrapped-up the 2018 campaign with a 13-3 loss over Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) foe Calvin College this evening at Zuidema Field in Grand Rapids.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Olivet College men's lacrosse team wrapped-up the 2018 campaign with a 13-3 loss over Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) foe Calvin College this evening at Zuidema Field in Grand Rapids.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Knights scored the first goal of the game at the 13:11 mark of the first quarter.
- There was no more scoring until the 2:32 mark when senior Cameron Bazin netted a goal.
- Bazin then found the back of the cage 26 seconds later to put Olivet ahead 2-1.
- The score stayed that way at the end of the first period.
- Calvin out-scored the Comets 12-1 over the final three quarters to pull out the 13-3 win.
FOR THE COMETS
- Bazin scored all of the Olivet goals. He also took a team-high 10 shots, including six on-goal.
- Freshman Kobe Robinson finished with six shots.
- Senior Cullen Haesler tallied eight ground balls.
- In goal, freshman Jake Steele recorded 15 saves and eight ground balls.
FOR THE KNIGHTS
- Michael Winkler topped the team with four goals and 11 shots.
- Noah Boelens had three points on two goals and one assist.
- Max Foster also collected three points on three goals.
- Mitchell Wong was the winning keeper. He played the first 58 minutes and 3 seconds, tallying 10 saves.
- Mitchell Caldwell played the final minute and 57 seconds in net.
