Olivet College’s Bazin named MIAA Offensive Player of the Week for men’s lacrosse
Olivet College junior Cameron Bazin (Troy/Athens) has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Offensive Player of the Week for men’s lacrosse.
OLIVET, Mich. – Olivet College junior Cameron Bazin (Troy/Athens) has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Offensive Player of the Week for men's lacrosse. He is being honored for the first time this season and second time in his career.
Bazin scored 14 total points (10 goals and four assists) in leading the Comets to two MIAA wins last week. He had five goals and three assists in a 17-8 win April 9 at home against Alma College and then followed that performance with five goals and one assist in an 18-13 road win April 12 at Hope College.
For the season, Bazin leads the team with 54 points on 37 goals and 17 points. He has also taken a team-leading 129 total shots, placing 17 on-net, and scooped up 88 ground balls.
Bazin and the Comets return to the field tomorrow when they host MIAA co-leader Adrian College at 7 p.m.
