ALBION, Mich. – The Olivet College men's lacrosse team lost 28-4 to Albion College today inside Sprankle-Sprandel Stadium in Albion.
The Comets scored two goals in the first quarter and two goals in the second quarter, but it was not enough, as Albion had 15 total goals in the first half. The Britons then out-scored 13-0 in the second half to pull out the win.
Olivet took 28 shots in the game, placing 17 on-goal. Freshmen Nino Minaudo (Rochester Hills/Stoney Creek) and Tyler Polendo (Battle Creek/Lakeview) each had six shots. Sophomore Matt Arb (Troy/Athens) scored two goals, while Minaudo and sophomore Cameron Bazin (Troy/Athens) had one apiece. Junior Ryan McGee (Traverse City/Central) started in goal, making two saves in 15 minutes and 32 seconds of action.
The Comets (6-6, 0-2 MIAA) return to the field next Wednesday, April 9, when it hosts Alma College at 7 p.m.
