SANDUSKY, Ohio – The Olivet College men's golf team sits in sixth-place after the first round of the Battle at the Brook, hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University and at the Plumbrook Country Club in Sandusky, Ohio.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Olivet returned to the clubhouse with a 319 team score.
- Kenyon (Ohio) College is the first-round leader at 294. The host Battling Bishops are second at 297, followed by Thomas More (Ky.) College, 312; and Kalamazoo College, 314.
- Will Efkeman tops the individual leaderboard with a two-under par 69.
FOR THE COMETS
- Freshman Nicholas Hoffman posted the Comets' best score at 76.
- Senior Joey Richmond is a stroke behind at 77.
- Senior Tanor Blowers carded an 81.
- Senior Joseph Gauck recorded an 85.
- Freshman Cameron Lemon completed his round in 89 strokes.
