BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – The Olivet College men's golf team has finished in eighth-place at the 2016 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Fall-Finale Tournament, held at the Battle Creek Country Club.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Olivet posted a two-round total of 679 strokes. Hope College won the tournament with a 593 to secure the 2016 MIAA Championship.
- Ben Van Scoyk was the tournament medalist with a two-round total of 144 strokes.
FOR THE COMETS
- Senior Matt Sherry led the Comets with a two-day score of 166 strokes, including a team-best 78 in today's round.
- Junior Tanor Blowers was a stroke behind with a 167 (86-81).
- Freshman Logan Stefanko carded a 171 (79-92)
- Freshmen Zach Sturgill and Garrett Tanner completed their rounds in matching 181s.
