- Calvin College leads Hope College by one stroke, 297-298. Kalamazoo College is third at 300, followed by Adrian College, 316; Albion College, 318; Trine (Ind.) University, 322; and Alma College, 328.
- John Van Noord is the first-round leader with a two-under par 70.

- Freshman Logan Stefanko tops Olivet with 79.
- Junior Tanor Blowers and freshman Garret Tanner are next with 86s.
- Senior Matt Sherry is two strokes behind with an 88.
