The Olivet College men’s golf team took eighth-place at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Jamboree #3, held today at The Medalist Club in Marshall.

MARSHALL, Mich. – The Olivet College men's golf team took eighth-place at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Jamboree #3, held today at The Medalist Club in Marshall.

Location: The Medalist Golf Club; Marshall, Mich.
Par / Yardage: 72 / 6,757 yards
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Comets finished with a 338 team score.
- Hope College claimed first-place honors with a 289 team score, which was 10 strokes ahead of runner-up Kalamazoo College. Calvin College was third at 301, followed by Trine (Ind.) University, 314; Albion College, 317; Adrian College, 332; and Alma College, 334.
- Josh Gibson from Hope was the medalist with a four-under par 68.
FOR THE COMETS
- Senior Matt Sherry tied for 11th-place in the player standings with a four-over par 76.
- Freshman Logan Stefanko carded an 82.
- Junior Tanor Blowers shot an 86.
- Freshman Zach Sturgill completed his round in 94 strokes.
- In the starting five for the first time this season, junior Austin Ward had a 104.
UP NEXT
- The fourth MIAA Jamboree is next Monday, Sept. 26, at the Watermark Country Club in Grand Rapids.
