BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – The Olivet College men's golf team finished eighth at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Jamboree #2. The Comets played on their home course, the Bedford Valley Country Club in Battle Creek.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Comets carded a 3444 team score.
- The top four schools in the team standings were each separated by one stroke. Hope College was first at 295, followed by Kalamazoo College, 296; Trine (Ind.) University, 297; and Calvin College, 298.
- Trine's Todd Mieske was the medalist with a five-under par 67.
FOR THE COMETS
- Senior Matt Sherry had the Comets' low round with an 83.
- Freshman Logan Stefanko was next with an 84.
- Freshman Zach Sturgill posted an 88.
- Junior Tanor Blowers was a stroke behind at 89.
- Junior Joey Richmond completed his round in 90 strokes.
UP NEXT
- The Comets are off until next Wednesday, Sept. 21, for the third jamboree at The Medalist Golf Club in Marshall.
