Men’s golf team ties for eighth-place at Manchester Invitational
The Olivet College men’s golf team concluded its season by tying for eighth-place at the 2016 Manchester (Ind.) University, played at the Honeywell Golf Course in Wabash, Indiana.
WABASH, Ind. – The Olivet College men's golf team concluded its season by tying for eighth-place at the 2016 Manchester (Ind.) University Invitational, played at the Honeywell Golf Course in Wabash, Indiana.
The Comets had a two-round team score of 656 strokes to share eighth-place with Anderson (Ind.) University. Transylvania (Ky.) University had the top three individual golfers to run away with the tournament title with a 569. Mount St. Joseph (Ohio) University placed second at 594, followed by Hanover (Ind.) College, 598; Defiance (Ohio) College, 602; Franklin (Ind.) College, 607; Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (Ind.), 616; and the host Spartans, 625.
Senior Benjamin Hart posted a two-round total of 154 strokes, including a 76 in today's second round. Sophomore Tanor Blowers also had a 76 today, and combined with an 81 in Saturday's round, he finished with a two-day total of 157 strokes. Senior Tony Skuratovich registered a two-round total of 172 strokes. Junior Matt Sherry carded a 177. Senior Jake Maas had a 90 in his last collegiate round of goal to give him a two-day total of 178 strokes.
