Men’s golf team is eighth at MIAA Jamboree #7
The Olivet College men’s golf team placed eighth at the MIAA Jamboree #7, hosted today by Adrian College at the Lenawee Country Club in Adrian.
ADRIAN, Mich. – The Olivet College men's golf team placed eighth at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Jamboree #7, hosted today by Adrian College at the Lenawee Country Club in Adrian.
The Comets had a 345 team score. Hope College had three of the top five golfers to win the jamboree by 15 strokes over Adrian College, 307-322. Kalamazoo College was third at 324, followed by Trine (Ind.) University, 327; Calvin College, 332; Albion College, 338; and Alma College, 343.
Senior Benjamin Hart returned to the clubhouse with Olivet's lowest score with an 84. Junior Zachary Gray was just one stroke behind with an 85. Junior Matt Sherry shot an 87, while sophomore Tanor Blowers completed the Comets' team score with an 89. Senior Jake Maas carded a 100.
The final jamboree is next Tuesday, Oct. 6, at the Wuskowhan Players Club in West Olive.
