Men’s golf team in seventh-place at mid-point of MIAA schedule
Despite an eighth-place finish in today’s Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) jamboree at the Kalamazoo Country Club, the Olivet College men’s golf team sits in seventh-place at the mid-point of the league schedule.
KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Despite an eighth-place finish in today's Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) jamboree at the Kalamazoo Country Club, the Olivet College men's golf team sits in seventh-place at the mid-point of the league schedule.
The Comets turned in a 353 team score in today's round. Calvin College was first with a 302, followed the host Hornets, 304; Hope College, 306; Trine, 308; Adrian, 311; Albion, 313; and Alma, 339. Connor Dwyer from Trine earned medalist honors with a one-under par 70.
Senior Benjamin Hart posted Olivet's best score with an 82. Senior Jake Maas was next with an 87. Sophomore Tanor Blowers finished with a 90, while junior Zachary Gray shot a 94. Junior Matt Sherry carded a 100.
The fifth MIAA jamboree will take place Saturday at the Zollner Golf Course in Angola, Indiana.
